Interested in transferring some domains and web hosting to kNet.

What options are available for DNS management?  It's likely that I'd want to put multiple A, CNAME and MX records in at least.

Hi,

From your control panel you have basic DNS management, such as MX Records and CNAME and A records which you can setup and manage yourself, for anything else a simply support request to us is all its takes to have any other custom DNS records setup.

Sounds good!  Especially impressed by the Sunday evening support response!

Follow-up question, if you don't mind.  How would I go about transferring domains from another registrar?  I have four, residing with two different registrars, and would like to move these to kNET, possibly adding another couple of domains on the same account.  So far, I've been unable to find any mechanism to do this via the website - is this another case of raising a request?

Hi,

This can be done via a support request to us, the procedure is slighly different depending on the domain type. For any .uk domains simply have the current registrar retag them to 'ENIXLTD' and we can pull them over, this service is free.

For other domain types, .com, .net etc there is a one off charge of £7.50 per domain and we require the EPP auth key for each domain, they also need to be unlocked.

If you would like further info please email support@knethosting.co.uk
